The location has become world-renowned since the Oscar-winning Steven Spielberg's Schindler List. In the Second World War, Oskar Schindler employed there Jewish workers transported from Krakow, Poland. The building was declared a cultural monument in 2016. The sale of the site and its possible future use have prompted media interest not only in neighboring Germany, but also in Latin America and the USA.
Extensive area of former textile production in the village of Brněnec in the district of Svitavy in the Pardubice Region, consisting of two main parts and land located outside the premises. The industrial complex, including other plots, has a total area of almost 14 hectares.
The complex is located in three cadastral districts: Brněnec, Moravská Chrastová and Chrastavec.
The buildings and halls of the premises were built 30-140 years ago and in the past they were used for textile production, storage and as administrative, technical and social facilities of the plant.
